The record store I was at here in Denmark was superb.Loads of people,free coffee,great vibes and they had Dawn Of The Rats + all the Rats albums from which I bought the Scandinavian copy of Mondo Bongo to add to my collection..
The most wanted item was a single from Taylor Swift where they ended up pulling a number out of a hat.
Record Store Day is a bit of a racket for the benefit of large independent stores. I went to my local record store which had Bowie LP in stock but nothing else I wanted, so I had to go to Rough Trade East and queue for an hour to get the Rats and Suede LPs I wanted. It was a bit ridiculous because it was a pop up store and you had to pick what you wanted in advance, so no browsing through the other releases, which had I seen and held them, I might have bought them. Anyway, possible quite a few copies will be on mail order from Monday and possibly reduced in price in a few months time.
