Memories of LiveAid

I didn’t go. Why? I don’t know. A big regret. But I do remember watching it on a black and white portable tv in the glorious sunshine in the garden, with my sister. I was 19, very nearly 20. A day full of emotion and I can feel them still now when I think about it. When I hear Status Quo, and Cars, I see those images. Those songs will forever be a part of LiveAid, a part of famine stricken Ethiopia and other countries in that region.

Oh but what a day of music it was. That was a bonus for us watching.

Doesn’t it make you feel proud of Bob and Midge and everyone who worked on BandAid and LiveAid?

Luckily, I was in London for a few days and I saw the Live Aid concert on TV (at the hotel) on Sunday night. A magnificent concert, with bands and singers that I love and for a very great cause.👍
