Boomtown Rats vinyl,what do we know.(part 22)

The brilliant Drag Me Down was the 2nd single release from the In The Long Grass album.(Apart from USA where it was a different version and the first single to be released )

Released as a 7”,12” and a 12” Special Edition in the UK on Mercury records.

This is the sleeve for the Special Edition and surprisingly She’s So Modern is NOT the same as the single version.

The 7” sleeve.

Released in Ireland on the WEA record label and also the last single to be released by the band in Ireland.

Released in Holland,Germany and Spain

Strangely in Holland it was released on both with the greyish colour sleeve and this blue/green sleeve.

All the versions in Europe had An Icicle In The Sun on the b-side which was also from the In The Long Grass Album.

In The USA it was released in a different version and had Hard Times (also from In The Long Grass album) on the b-side and released on the Columbia record label

7” single

7” promo which has drag Me Down On both sides.

12” promo release.

Not released in Australia;New Zealand,Japan or Canada.

Do we know how this version of She's so modern came? Was it recorded again? A demo? Or simply an alternative mix?
