Boomtown Rats vinyl,what do we know?(part 13)

We move onto the release of the 4th album Mondo Bongo.

Here we see a change of record company from Ensign to Mercury(UK),from Mulligan to WEA(Ireland) and Mercury to Vertigo(Canada).

The American and Canadian version has a different b-side compared to the rest of the world.

Rest of the world Please Don’t Go, USA/Canada Please Don’t Go

Elephants Graveyard Elephants Graveyard

Banana Republic Banana Republic

Fall Down Don’t Talk To Me

Hurt Hurts Hurt Hurts

Whitehall 1212 Up All Night

The album was released in most of Western Europe,Japan,Australia,New Zealand.

Also released in Israel,South Africa and amazingly in India(the hidden track Cheerio was not on the Indian copy) all on the Mercury record label.

Not of interest is that Up All Night is released on the next album V Deep (non American and Canadian versions) and Don’t Talk To Me ended up as a b-side of Never In A Million Years(apart from America).

Indian back sleeve.

Canadian back sleeve.

USA back sleeve.
