PETE BRIQUETTE
Pete is a member of the Boomtown Rats and the Bob Geldof band. He was born in Ballyjamesduff Co. Cavan Ireland. His name refers to his upbringing in Ireland where "peat briquettes" were burned for heat instead of coal.
He is the bassist, synthesizerist, backing vocalist, occasional songwriter and currently the producer of the band.

He has worked as a producer with French singer Renaud on his multi-platinum selling album "Marchand De Cailleaux" and an album of Irish ballads, "Molly Malone - Balade Irelandaise" which includes contributions from Terry Woods (The Pogues), Barney McKenna (The Dubliners) and Glen Hansard.
He has produced and written with such varied artist as Tricky, The Frames, Robert Palmer, Kirsty MacColl, Tiger and Bloom De Ligney. He has also written the music soundtracks for numerous documentaries, films and TV.
He has always been and will always be, above all else, a Citizen of Boomtown.
